Sheraton Riyadh’s “New Entrance” into the wedding season

After going through a series of refurbishments on its Towers floor this summer, the Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers has also just recently opened its slick, new entrance of the Ibn Turki Hall. The new sliding entrance door is part of the continuous efforts of the hotel in providing better services and upgraded facilities to deliver on guest expectations. Modern lighting and styling completed beautiful ensemble.

“The new entrance will provide better access for all private functions especially for the wedding events without passing through the hotel lobby area” said Wissam Soussi the Director of Sales & Marketing of the Sheraton Riyadh Hotel & Towers.  “The completion of the project was a huge success and will create a positive impact during this wedding season” he added.

The Ibn Turki Hall is 420 sq m that can accommodate up to 230 persons for a wedding function and 280 for a meeting.

Experience the feast of 1001 Arabian Nights every Saturday. Essential traditional dishes will be served as you revisit the tales of Arabian nights. A peek will have plates of kebbeh, koftah, malfouf, and others with a combination of spices, comprising black and white pepper, cinnamon, cumin, cloves, coriander and turmeric.

Mexican-Latino Cuisine Comes to Sheraton

Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel is proud to announce the addition of Mexican-Latino cuisine authority, Chef Roger Perez Gonzalez, to its creative team of professional culinary experts.

 

A young polyglot, Chef Roger who speaks fluent French, Italian, Spanish, and other languages, possesses a Culinary Arts degree and diploma from Mexico and Switzerland. His trainings from other parts of the world as well as different hotels and resorts made him a kitchen authority with Mexican cuisine specialty.  He has been in the field for more than a decade and ceaselessly tries to enhance and develop his professional and personal skills. When asked how it is to be a chef, Roger explains, “Being a chef is like a leading-artist. Your produce is a reflection of your creation and imagination and should result in a powerful image. You should be very well versed in leading a team especially the one that composes different cultures and diverse personalities.”

 

As his first Sheraton hotel, Chef Roger promises himself to grow and progress with the Sheraton family. He claims that Sheraton has opened the door of opportunity for him to exhibit his skills and share his talents. Someday, he dreams of being an Executive Chef in any of Starwood hotels.

 

As he brought with him his expertise, Chef Roger is equipped to create unique and exotic Mexican-Latino preparations for the meticulous taste of all valued guests and loyal customers of Sheraton Doha. He dreams of serving the patrons with new trends of Mexican-Latino concoctions.

 

Chef Roger shared his secret in culinary magic of having an open-mind, being passionate to his work and his guidepost, “respect begets respect”.

Sheraton Doha Observed Environmental Health Week

The Sheraton Doha Resort & Convention Hotel recently observed the 11th Annual Starwood Safety, Security and Environmental Health Week with awareness program and activities for associates and hotel guests. The hotel has called on all associates to successfully make an impact on safety, security and environment in support of the said Starwood’s annual program.

One of the highlights of the program is the evacuation drill participated by all associates as well as hotel guests. The guests were overwhelmed by the team spirit of the hotel associates and management. They were all glad having the feeling of a safe and secure stay in Sheraton Doha.

The Annual Starwood Safety, Security and Environmental Health Week is observed by all Starwood Hotels & Resorts worldwide with the aim of being the leader in the hospitality industry that demonstrates a responsible hotel as a positive force for the environment.

Safety & Security Week at Sheraton Damascus Hotel

The Sheraton Damascus Hotel has held a successful safety and security week which has included lectures for number of hotel executives and attended by all hotel employees according to their shifts.

The last day of the safety week has been dedicated for the evacuation excise by the hotel.

In addition to that, and as the previous year, the fire bridge was called to participate to the exercise by the hotel, with an exercise to rescue a man from the hotel roof.
